Backyards can be beautiful places to explore, filled with life and discovery. Over the past few years, I've enjoyed exploring my parents' backyard by documenting its intricacies and changes; practicing observation in a place I hadn't explored for some time since my youth. During my explorations I find small moments of interactions between nature's growth and objects which also inhabit the same spaces.

Often during my visits, I'd gaze into the backyard — It was my amazement toward how enchanting the backyard became each time when illuminated by sunset lighting which sparked the start of my curious explorations on this land. My curiosity then evolved into what I learned became my mission: to embrace and celebrate the small things that surrounded me in a place that's both familiar and foreign.
