Backyard Adventures
Backyards are beautiful places to explore. They can be so full of life and discovery. During a time where I was in a creative rut (and honestly it was a result of experiencing deep, heavy creative burnout), I decided exploring my backyard was a way for me to heal the wounds of being overworked for so many years. Thus, I associated my camera with the burdens of work, I needed to give life to a positive association toward the tools which help me express myself creatively. This exploration allowed me to relax from the pressures of deadlines and obligations — just me, my camera, my parents' dog, and nature. In a way, I was rediscovering my passion for photography by practicing observation in a place I hadn't explored for some time. My adventure started with curiosity, then evolved into what I learned became my mission: to embrace and celebrate the small things that surrounded me in a place that's both familiar and foreign. The evolution of this landscape keeps me curious and excited for future expeditions…
